On November 11, the WVU EcoCAR Team had the opportunity to present the EcoCAR project to prospective engineering students at Liberty High School in Clarksburg, WV.

Engineering student Alan Kuskil and outreach students Nicole Fernandes, Elyse Petroni, Nick Cavender and Marilyn McCarthy spoke to ninth-, tenth-, eleventh- and twelfth-grade students about the advantages of pursuing a career in engineering and the importance of energy conservation.

The high-schoolers were extremely interested to hear about the EcoCAR Challenge and were excited to hear that WVU students were re-engineering a GM donated vehicle to make it more eco-friendly and fuel efficient. Some of the Liberty students even expressed interest in getting involved in similar competitions when they begin their collegiate careers!
